About us
What do we do?

The Party for the Animals is the driving force behind debates about animal rights and welfare in the national and provincial parliaments. We continually work to put animals on the political agenda. Our influence is much greater than our number of seats would have you imagine. From the very outset, it was our intention that the Party for the Animals would be a pacemaker, and we managed to achieve this before our party ever even won a single seat. Politicians simply do not like to be known as people who do not like animals. The more often they are confronted with questions about animal welfare, the more animal-friendly they seem to become.

The following provides an overview of the primary activities in which we engage to achieve a more humane society. Click on the links below for more information.
